A small group turned up to take advantage of Gordon’s kind offer to turn up and winch on Monday. Despite a slightly unpromising start a handful of gliders launched. The local ridge proved reasonably reliable and managed to avoid most of the showers. Elsewhere the story was not quite so straightforward. A few pilots visited Bath successfully at least once, but eventually all those who ventured away from the local ridge required a bit of assistance from the Iron Thermal to get back home. All back and away by 15:00, while the Venture came out for a bit of flying once the wind had dropped. Not the greatest day, but good to be back in the air. Thanks again to Gordon and all who helped get ready, launch and put the toys away.
