The Interclub League
The BGGC competes in the BGA annual Inter-club cross country competition. We are part of the “Rockpolishers League”, competing with the Black Mountains GC (Talgarth), the Cotswold GC (Aston Down), the Herefordshire GC (Shobdon), the Midland GC (Long Mynd) and the South Wales GC (Usk) over three to four weekends (depending on weather) through the summer.
Over the weekend every club enters a team of 3 pilots for each day (Novice, Intermediate, and Pundit) and appropriate sized cross-country tasks are set, with scoring handicapped by type of glider flown. Points are given for pilot performance in their class and for the club overall position over the 2-3 days competition.
