Flying around the rain

Thursday 2nd started with a forecast of rain all day. All looked good first thing though, so we decided to make the most of the first hour and a half before it arrived.

6 x flights in, and we retired to the cafe for tea and cake (slight drizzle in play). after reconvening, we managed another 6 and retrieved to the bus just in time to avoid the heavens opening! After considering another 2 x launches, we opted to take advantage of a short respite to return to the hangar – got there just in time before the next torrential downpour!

Another successful day in spite of the forecast.

  1. Instructors, volunteer winch driver, all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Up with the lark and smartly on parade. Weather perfect for instructing of course.
P2s eagerly awaited. Sadly none came. Tea drunk, grass mowed, distinguished visitors admired.
Home in time to watch Pointless!
