Friday 3rd May saw the last day of this years first dedicated learning week. Since Wednesday, rain has been forecast, but yet again today the spectre failed to materialise (well, not quite! there was an interesting interlude late afternoon, with some very heavy rain making an appearance!).
Conditions were generally great for training, and Simon Ford had a 2nd solo. Dick Moore finished the week having made great progress, including aerotowing, thermalling to 4,000′, flying away from the airfield, launching into cloud, avoiding a helicopter, and successfully dealing with 2 x real launch failures (before being taught) and many safe landings.
