The solid stratus took its time to clear and the ridge only worked intermittently during the morning, which prevented Oli from succeeding in his 5-hour attempt. But by early afternoon it brightened up with some patchy thermal and a reliable ridge,. A fairly busy day’s instructing and everyone got flown by the time the hangar doors shut at 5:30. Several private owners launched, but in the end only Andy in 80 and Richard in 200 achieved any great distance. Thanks to Geralyn for tugging, Tim for assisting with instructing, John for flying the two trial lessons and Tommy for some very accurately simulated launch failures. Sid
