Status
RAF Brize Norton and London Oxford Airport (LOA) at Kiddlington have both launched airspace change proposals (ACP) to establish more controlled airspace. The consultation phase is now finished and Osprey (the consultants) have analysed the feedback (BZN and LOA). They are now working on revised proposals which will be submitted to the CAA. Unfortunately under the (old) CAP725 process there is no further public consultation at this stage.
Strong objections were sent into the consultation by the General Aviation Alliance and the General Aviation All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG). You can see their responses here:

If this goes ahead in the current form the changes will affect all of us. Cross Country pilots will be severely impacted on all routes to the North East and East, aspiring Silver C pilots will be deprived of two easy options for badge flights and those of us who fly and train locally may find much more GA traffic routing over us to avoid the airspace.

The deadline for direct comments has passed, however if you have not done so lease also consider contacting your local council, MP or any other bodies which may be interested or unaware of what is happening. In particular familiarise yourself with the General Aviation APPG and urge your MP to support their work.
